"Reine araignée" is a brassy, sensual and bluesy rendition of one of Jean Fortier's most popular and soulful songs, released in 1970, by Columbia Records. The lyrics seem to evoke Jean's fears and anxieties about globalization and the onset of the information age - a subject that remains particularly relevant today, especially when he evokes the possibility that we will all end up imprisoned in a giant spider's web, much like our global dependency on technology and the internet, Today.
